Our Vision

The vision of the founder Mrs. Anita Rodricks was to start a home in which the poor, the dying and the destitute would be loved and looked after as her own family. She has established this home Karunalaya in loving memory of her mother Mrs. Leopoldina Gomes and her husband Mr. Melwin Rodricks. She named the society after her mother and husband as “LEOMEL SOCIETY”

Our Objectives

  • The main objective of the LEOMEL SOCIETY is to assist, support and enable the dying and the destitute citizens of India especially in the city of Belagavi and its surrounding areas.
  • The second objective was to establish a home in Belagavi to be known as KARUNALAYA, which means a home of love and compassion in which support services to the dying and the destitute would be provided.
