• The new resident has to be poor, destitute or dying and must have no family.
  • One or two members of the society will physically verify the credentials of the person to be admitted in the home.
  • The new resident must be recommended by two or more persons from the locality where the destitute is found
  • For a destitute who is picked up from the streets/bus stands/railway stations or any other locality, a Police Report should be obtained from the local police station.
  • The destitute to be admitted to Karunalaya must be taken to the local government hospital for a checkup and a blood test.
